CIB ATA CARNET ADVISORY

ISRAEL REQUIRES PHOTOS ACCOMPANY JEWELRY

Beginning May 1st, 2006 it will be obligatory to include photos for all kinds of jewelry and watches, imported via ATA Carnet (carnet) into Israel.  The original photos must be attached to the carnet and a copy of the photos must accompany the carnet application.

Online ATA Carnet application via the CIB website can be made at http://atacarnet.com/ with accompanying copies of photos by e-mail.  Send the original photographs of the jewelry and/or watches via the United States Postal Service to:

Corporation for International Business
Harris Bank Building
325 North Hough Street, 2nd Floor
Barrington, IL 60010-3096

Upon issuance of the carnet, each original photo (or page in the case of multiple photos per page) will be stamped with the United States Council for International Business (USCIB) stamp and carnet number and attached to the carnet document.

If you experience any problems or have questions about this change please contact the CIB Carnet HelpLineSM at (800) ATA-2900 or e-mail us.
