Film Carnet Expert Joins Boomerang

Boomerang carnets® UK is an Exhibitor at FOCUS 2021, the highly anticipated industry conference taking place in London 7-8 DEC and digitally 7-10 DEC.  Boomerang will be represented both in person and virtually by Eric Huyton, a 30-year veteran in the field of freelance documentary cinematography.  He has worked with the BBC and Sir David Attenborough travelling to the very farthest reaches of the world.  Eric is keenly familiar with the challenges of crossing borders with an ATA Carnet from his vast experience.  Never has an ATA Carnet issuing office, our partner Liverpool Chamber of Commerce, had such hands-on experience at their disposal and the Liverpool Chamber is to be commended for their initiative.

Carnets also serve as the registration of goods with Customs upon re-entry to the U.S. or U.K. saving you additional paperwork and cost. ATA Carnets can be used for camera bodies, lenses, tripods, lighting equipment, drones/UAVs, monitors, hard drives/storage, computers, batteries, set pieces/props, apparel/costumes, and more.    

The CPD is a customs document used for the temporary admission of road vehicles (private and commercial road motor vehicles) in countries where required.  The CPD is known as the Vehicle Passport which allows a vehicle to enter multiple countries for temporary importation without paying the import-duty and -taxes.
