Carnets "Play the World" Orchestra Grants Launch in UK

In preparation for the 2018 annual conference of the Association of British Orchestras in Cardiff, Wales, boomerang carnets launched a U.K. version of the successful U.S Carnets "Play the World" grant program. The grants were welcomed by Mark Pemberton, Director at the Association of British Orchestras, and were awarded in advance of the conference.

"We have supported dozens of attendees to the League of American Orchestras annual conference since 2010 and we look forward to supporting British orchestras in the same way starting in 2018. The grants not only help U.K. orchestras to attend the ABO conference but introduce boomerang carnets service to those same orchestras. Especially since internationally touring orchestras from the U.K. have a challenge starting in 2019 with Brexit. Hopefully we can be there to help ease the transition for touring orchestras traveling to EU countries and elsewhere," noted Moira Wilson, Director of Marketing and Brand Development.
