Boomerang carnets® is sponsoring the League of American Orchestras’ (LOAO) 78th National Conference hosted by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra June 14-16, 2023, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
This year, representing boomerang carnets are Monika Jadeszko, Vice President-Global Carnet Operations, and Marge Walsh, Carnet Specialist and Team Supervisor. They are looking forward to welcoming visitors to the boomerang carnets booth and answering your questions about ATA Carnets and international touring for orchestras, individual musicians, or small groups planning a tour. Boomerang has a long tradition of supporting orchestras.
In 2002, Boomerang worked with the League of American Orchestras to initiate the Carnets “Play the World” ATA Carnet program for orchestras and musicians touring internationally. The program minimizes the major financial obstacle individual musicians previously encountered when pursuing itineraries outside their orchestra’s schedule when on tour and still support the U.S. orchestras as they travel the world on tour.
In 2010, we began offering Grants to cover registration costs to the LOAO’s Midwinter Managers Meeting, as well as to the League’s National Conference. Thirty-seven grants have been awarded totaling over $20,000. A limited number of Carnets "Play the World" Grants are also awarded each year to a select group of Association of British Orchestras (ABO) members.
