Russian Customs Expands Carnet Acceptance in Crimean Ports

Russia has expanded acceptance of carnets into ten additional ports in Crimea and Savastopol. Ukraine began accepting carnets on March 1st, 2008 and Crimea and Savastopol were included as part of Ukraine at that time. As of August 26th of 2015, the U.S. national ATA Carnet guaranteeing association notified its service providers of this update to carnets being used in Crimea and Savastopol, formerly part of Ukraine.
