Call Boomerang Carnets, Your Carnet Specialists

This year marks a significant milestone as three countries—The Republic of the Philippines, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Peru—have joined the global ATA Carnet system of countries, making it easier than ever to facilitate the temporary admission of goods for international trade and business.

Boomerang carnets® enthusiastically welcomes all of the newest members!

The Philippines became the 91st member on July 15, allowing ATA Carnets for exhibitions, fairs, professional equipment, and commercial samples.

Saudi Arabia became the 90th member on June 1, accepting Carnets for exhibitions, fairs, professional equipment, and commercial samples, but excludes sports equipment.

Peru, the 89th member and the third Latin American country in the system, began accepting Carnets on April 30, covering exhibitions, fairs, and professional equipment.

The addition of these three countries into the ATA Carnet system greatly enhances global business and expands opportunities for growth and commerce.  All sectors will benefit whether you are moving filming equipment, measuring devices, UAVs, medical instruments, animals, robots, yachts, art, or more, an ATA Carnet simplifies the temporary export process while saving money and time.

The ATA Carnet is an internationally accepted customs document for temporarily exported merchandise or goodsIt allows for smoother cross border movement of those goods import-duty and -tax free into 90+ carnet countries and territories for up to a year.  The ATA Carnet is known as the Merchandise Passport for boomerang freight® and ideal for Commercial Samples, Professional Equipment, and Goods for Display at Trade Fairs and Exhibitions.  At the end of the year, all the items listed on the carnet return to the country of origin, thus the term boomerang freight.

A Proud Moment

The Philippines’ recent addition to the list of ATA Carnet countries marks an exciting milestone for global trade.  For our Marketing Coordinator, Anva Nuguid, the moment was especially meaningful as she proudly hails from the Philippines.  Anva closely followed their progress throughout the process.  Joining the ATA Carnet system, the Philippines seeks to enhance trade efficiency and global competitiveness. This is a pivotal step for the country.  Anva also discovered footage from the ATA Carnet Grand Launch Event, hosted by the Bureau of Customs (BOC) and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), which you can view HERE.
