Boomerang Freight® is the Full Circle Idea Behind ATA Carnets

Featuring our registered service marks each month is a way for us at boomerang carnets® to share what it is we do.  We assist businesses seeking to expand into international markets and grow their businesses. We issue ATA Carnets which are a uniform, internationally accepted customs document allowing for cross border movement of goods while avoiding import-duty and -tax on those goodsATA Carnets offer many benefits including savings and allow SMEs to grow and compete internationally. Equally important is the surety bond needed to secure the carnet which is another service we offer.  During the 30+ years we’ve been helping businesses grow internationally, our portfolio of service marks has expanded to thirty, primarily on the Principal Register in the United States and a few in Canada, the United Kingdom and European Union.  Boomerang Freight® is our featured service mark this month and is uniquely registered in all four countries.

Boomerang Freight®

The concept of Boomerang Freight came from the mind of Bruce A. Wilson, the late Founder of Corporation for International Business dba boomerang carnets.  Originally registered in 2005 in the U.S., it has subsequently been registered in the U.K., Canada, and the E.U.  “Boomerang Freight” perfectly describes merchandise, equipment, or goods shipped out of a country and returning to that country within a 12-month period: temporary export/import.  Hence, Boomerang Freight! We quickly realized how effective this branding was and ran with it including sponsoring the United States Boomerang Team.

Businesses can grow into new markets by avoiding import-duty and -tax on their boomerang freight. No need for cash deposits with foreign customs services. Companies can increase cash flow, brand exposure, and cultivate new customers.  The available cash can be put toward saving a job, creating a job, research, and more.

Examples of Boomerang Freight include:

  • musical Instruments for a music tour
  • heavy and light machinery for a construction job
  • medical devices on a lifesaving mission
  • cameras and production equipment for a location shoot
  • artifacts for display or exhibition
  • trade show booths and display technology
  • vehicles for racing or exhibition, sports equipment for competitions
  • garments for a fashion show
  • drones and drone fleets for demo, surveying, or search and rescue
  • samples of manufactured goods
