Boomerang Carnets Assists FIA with Record Breaking 2023!

Boomerang carnets® was appointed by the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) to issue the Carnet de Passages en Douane (CPD) for the United States and Canada.  We are the sole CPD provider for these two nations and are connected to a network of trusted colleagues who provide the same in other countries.  Last year, 2023, was an unprecedented global record-breaking year for CPD use worldwide which included boomerang carnets’ year-end total.  More wheels are rolling around the globe than ever!   

The CPD is an international customs document which covers the temporary admission of motor vehicles (private and commercial road motor vehicles) in countries where required.  The CPD is like a passport for a vehicle to enter multiple countries for temporary importation without paying the duty and taxes.  Acceptable vehicles that can be covered by CPDs include new and used passenger cars, motorcycles, recreational vehicles, and trailers.

One of Boomerang’s CPD Customers in 2023 included a successful business owner and adventurer travelling the world with a custom luxe caravan motorhome in tow from Canada to South America.  An ATA Carnet was also issued for this customer providing an extra layer of security for the caravan.
