Recently, during the BIFA Business Leaders Forum on October 10, boomerang carnets UK premiered a short film on the benefits of ATA Carnets.  Created with ITN Business for the program Transforming Logistics: Precision and Purpose, it features industry insights and sponsored editorial segments, including our partner film on the advantages of ATA Carnets and their role in global trade.  It has already been seen by over eleven thousand viewers.
 

In Focus:  ATA Carnets-Boomerang Benefit in Action

Our film, introduced by celebrated ITN presenter Louise Minchin, begins with a race car being loaded onto a transport truck. The race car is headed for testing at racetracks across Europe.  Reporter Warren Nettleford narrates, emphasizing how ATA Carnets streamline the process of temporary goods importation.

Boomerang carnets UK partnered with Bespoke Handling, a leader in automotive and motorsport logistics, and a valued client, for the film.  Bespoke Handling generously provided their Pease Pottage U.K. headquarters as the filming location, featuring a dynamic backdrop of sleek supercars.

In the film, Fabian Daffern, Director, Bespoke Handling, shares an experience with the Boomerang Benefit: “A week or so ago, we had an emergency in America.  There were some goods that were needed and we got the call at 7 o’clock in the evening—on a Friday evening.  We were able to arrange the carnet and get the goods shipped out that evening and the goods arrived in Los Angeles and were delivered on a Monday morning that same weekend.  If it hadn’t been for our relationship with Boomerang, we wouldn’t have been able to have done that.”

It Matters Where You Get Your Carnet

The ATA Carnet is an internationally accepted customs document for temporarily exported merchandise or goods.  It allows cross border movement of those goods import-duty and -tax free into 87+ carnet countries and territories for up to 12 months.  The ATA Carnet is known as the Merchandise Passport for boomerang freight®.  At the end of the 12 months, all the items listed on the carnet return to the country of origin, thus the term boomerang freight.
