Boomerang carnets®, once again, took to the green for a good cause as sponsor to the Chicago Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association (CCBFA) Annual Golf Outing, benefitting the CCBFA Scholarship Fund, July 9 at the Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.  A shotgun tee off at 8:30 a.m. saw Team Boomerang, this year, represented by Beth Handt, Carnet Assistant, and Dawn Heaney, Claims Manager, both devoted recreational golfers, start their game.  They were joined for the day by Andrew Bogdanski, Executive Vice President at CBC Custom House Brokers Inc. Bloomingdale, Illinois. 

A Great Day On and Off the Green 
Team Boomerang was thrilled to speak with colleagues and logistics professionals at this year’s golf outing both on the course and at a luncheon following the game.  Anva Nuguid, Marketing Coordinator, was on site at the event with our boomerang carnets sponsor table at Hole 10, our sponsored hole, to give out “Just Carnet It and Go!” tumblers and boomerang carnets golf towels.  They went over like a hole in one!  We were so happy that Jason Doyle, CCBFA President, stopped by.

With approximately 130 golfers participating this year, Team Boomerang held their own.  Beth and Dawn thoroughly enjoyed the tournament.  Beth said, “I got in a couple of good drives and it was fun!"

Dawn recounts the highlight of the day on the course: “The fundraising challenge hole was intended for those who donated.  Since our golf partner Andrew donated, the very skilled CCBFA representative, made the shot for us.  She also gave us a bonus shot because we were down a player.  She hit twice, and we used the ball that passed the water and landed on the green.  The whole team, me, Beth, and Andrew were able to play the ball off where the ball landed on the green.  It was great!”
