2016 is a Record Year for US ATA Carnets

In 2016, the U.S. exceeded a long-targeted goal of 20,000 ATA Carnets according to the United State Council for International Business (USCIB), the U.S. national guaranteeing association for ATA Carnets. In a report published today, Peter Robinson, CEO of USCIB, commented that the 20,000 ATA Carnet accomplishment was the result of strong performance by its two Service Providers, including Boomerang Carnets®.

Carnet production is an economic indicator that forecasts trends in U.S. exports. Use of carnets is usually a precursor to sales of U.S. products and services abroad. Reaching the 20,000 goal in 2016 and continued optimism about carnet issuing in 2017 indicates continued growth for U.S. exporters.
