Carnets Now Accepted in Cabo San Lucas Mexico

Effective immediately, an additional customs district has been added to the Mexican ports accepting ATA Carnets. That district includes the airports at Cabo San Lucas and Santa Rosalia.

Boomerang carnets® had recently requested that Cabo San Lucas be added to the Mexican ports accepting carnets. This request was the result of carnet users requesting easier access to Cabo San Lucas primarily for video, film and photo shoots. Boomerang carnets® approached Cindy Duncan, Sr. VP of Carnet Operations at the United States Council for International Business who in turn contacted the Mexican carnet guarantors, CANACO. In a rare example of expedited regional cooperation CANACO was able to respond to the request within 6 weeks of the request.
